What kind of photos are you wanting? Traditional, or maybe something a little more artistic? How many people will be in the photos? Are you wanting one pose or as many as we can get?

Indoor or outdoor photos? Or both? Country or keep it in town?

What do you like? Is there anything you want to have in the photo that is special to you? That you think would make a fun photo?

What colors will you be wearing? This may affect my background choice.

What to know for the shoot:

Good photography takes time. Please plan to spend as much time as it takes to get the perfect image. That being said, I can usually get it pretty quickly.

Feel free to bring multiple outfits.

How you are feeling WILL SHOW in the photo. If you are frustrated or unhappy, you can not hide it from the camera. Try really hard to be in good spirits for the shoot.

Be yourself! Natural, comfortable positions are best.

If you have kids:

Keep them under control. It is not my job to make sure they are safe, just to shoot their beautiful faces!

Do your best to keep them happy. If they are unhappy about the shoot, it will show. Bribery works.

Bring things along that they like. For young children, you might bring a squeaky toy or something that will catch their attention.

We may need to take a break at some point and let the kid be a kid. When they start getting frustrated, it is time to try something else!
