Portraits are a lot of fun, because I get the challenge of not only taking a photo that makes you look 'good', but also captures who you are and your personality. There is nothing better than a happy client at the end of the day.

In August, 2010, we hope to open J's Art and Soul in Cross Plains TX. Not only will this house PhotoJKC's portrait studio, but also sell all kinds of artisan type work and my fine art photos.

As for me, I was born in '85. A few years ago, after playing with a camera for a few months, I decided that this was something I wanted to do. Since then, I have been using any means possible to teach myself how to take the best photos possible. I am now a member at the Center for Contemporary Art in Abilene, TX, and occasionally have showings in other locations as well. I also raise commercial and 'fainting' goats, work on my family's cattle ranch, and try to ride and rope as often as I can in my free time. I have a wonderful husband and fantastic family.
